I spent my weekend in Paradise, seriously Chopta-Chandrashila is one of the most mesmerizing place on Earth you can actually visit. The view, the serenity, the weather it's so fulfilling in it's own way. The experience I had trekking in the lush green forests of chopta to the highest Shiva Temple Tunganath and then conquering the Chandrashila peak to capture the magical beauty of nature was one of it's kind. I felt so alive and whole and complete, this experience is something I'll cherish lifelong.
I travelled with Aquilla Hikes for the third time and I loved the experience as always. Chopta-Chandrashila is till date my favourite trek. It was so mesmerizing from the serenity of Deoria Tal to the pious temple of Tunganath, from the beautiful weather to the encouraging company of our group leader. Not just the destination, the journey is equally gorgeous. On your way, enjoy the holy Ganga in it's full charm in the holy city of Haridwar. As you move ahead, witness the confluence of river Bhagirathi and Alaknanda at Devprayag. Don't miss to take the pictures of two different coloured streams of water merging into one.
A similar scenery can be found on your way further at Rudraprayag where Alaknanda meets Mandakini.
Chopta-Chandrashila trek is paradise on earth. The experience can not be put to words. It was a dream come true.
