• Next, we'll explore Shillong's bustling markets, collecting memorable souvenirs to cherish forever.
• After a fun-filled day, we'll check-in to our hotel in the heart of Shillong, ready to take on the adventures that await us.

 

Day 2: Laitlum Grand Canyon | Cherrapunjee day Adventure | Wei Sawdong Waterfall

• We'll start the day with a delicious breakfast and breathtaking views, bidding farewell to Shillong as we head to our next destination.

Day 3: Cherrapunji – Trek to Single & Double Decker Root Bridges and Rainbow Falls

• We'll start the day with a delicious breakfast and breathtaking views, bidding farewell to Shillong as we head to our next destination.
• The awe-inspiring Laitlum Grand Canyon awaits us, offering panoramic views that leave us spellbound.
• On our way to Cherrapunjee, we'll be mesmerized by the natural wonders that surround us.
• A visit to the stunning Wei Sawdong Waterfall will be a highlight, leaving us in awe of its beauty.

Day 4: Mawsmai Caves/ Arwah Caves Nohkalikai Waterfall | Mawlynnong Village

• We'll begin the day exploring the Mawsmai Caves, a short yet stunning limestone cave system with narrow passages and naturally lit chambers.

• Just nearby, the Arwah Caves offer a more spacious and peaceful experience, with ancient marine fossils embedded in their walls.

• Next, we visit the breathtaking Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India, known for its dramatic drop and the legendary story that gives it its name.

• In the afternoon, we drive to Mawlynnong, celebrated as Asia’s Cleanest Village. A walk through its beautifully kept lanes reveals a deep-rooted culture of sustainability and cleanliness. Key highlights include the Balancing Rock and the Sky Walk, a bamboo tower offering panoramic views of the Bangladesh plains.

Day 5: Water Sports | Krang Suri Waterfall/ Phe Phe Falls

• We’ll start the day surrounded by the serene beauty of Dawki, where the Umngot River awaits with its famously crystal-clear waters.
• Here, you can immerse yourself in the tranquility by taking a peaceful boat ride along the river, watching as the water flows so transparently that it feels like you’re gliding over air. For those feeling adventurous, there are opportunities for water sports such as kayaking or swimming in the cool, refreshing river. After enjoying the river, we’ll set off towards one of Meghalaya’s stunning waterfalls.
• The first option is the Krang Suri Waterfall, a spectacular cascade flowing into a natural turquoise pool, perfect for a refreshing dip or just relaxing on the rocks while soaking in the lush surroundings.
• Alternatively, if you prefer a quieter, less-visited spot, we can explore Phe Phe Falls, hidden deep within the forest and offering a more secluded and untouched experience of Meghalaya’s natural charm.
• As the afternoon progresses, we’ll make our way back to Shillong, winding through scenic hills and villages, arriving in time to unwind and reflect on the day’s breathtaking sights.

Day 6: Departure | Kamakhya Devi Temple (Optional)

• Our final day in the hills begins with a quiet morning in Shillong. As we bid farewell to this beautiful town, we’ll embark on our return journey to Guwahati.
• Depending on your flight or train schedule, we can make an optional stop at the Kamakhya Devi Temple, one of the most sacred sites in the Shakti Peetha tradition. Situated atop the Nilachal Hill, the temple not only holds spiritual significance but also offers stunning views of the Brahmaputra River and Guwahati city.
• Whether you choose to reflect in silence at the temple or simply enjoy the drive through the plains of Assam, this marks the peaceful end of your Meghalaya adventure.
• You’ll leave with the echoes of waterfalls, the hush of caves, and the vibrant culture of the Khasi hills etched in your memory

No refunds shall be made towards any inclusion(s) not availed by the Client.

Full Payment of the trip cost must be made before the trip begins. Pending Payments may eventually lead to the cancellation of the trip.

The IDs will be verified before boarding. No boarding shall be entertained without a valid Govt. ID.

The Transfer of the bookings is not permitted. Only the names mentioned at the time of confirmation shall be allowed to travel.

Travelers must take care of their luggage & belongings. The management shall not be accountable for missing items along the tour.

The time of departure is stated & fixed. All travelers must update their status with the Trip Coordinator(s), & report at the pickup point 30 mins prior to the scheduled departure.

The Air Conditioning will be switched off in the hills. Also, during the trip, it shall be the driver’s discretion to put off the AC as & when required, considering the travelers’ safety & ease of travel along uneven & dangerous routes.

Drinking & Smoking are strictly prohibited during journey due to the health & safety of fellow passengers.

No act of misconduct or indiscipline shall be tolerated on the tours. We are a cordial travel community and we aspire to bring to you a hassle-free and memorable experience.

AQUILLA HIKES (AQUILLA TRAVEL INDIA CAPTURE PRIVATE LIMITED) shall not be responsible for any delays or alterations in the program or indirectly incurred expenses in cases such as natural hazards, accidents, breakdown of machinery, weather conditions, landslides, political closure, or any untoward incidents.

We do not provide any insurance policy to cover the expenditure on sickness or accidents or losses incurred due to theft or other reasons.

Numerous factors such as weather and road conditions the physical ability of participants etc. may bring alteration in the itinerary. We reserve the right to make necessary changes in the schedule in the interest of safety, comfort, and general well-being!

An undertaking will be shared prior the booking or before the departure date of the tour which is mandatory for everyone to fill and sign. Boarding can be denied without undertaking submission.

Any damage to our booked properties/transportation by any individual will be charged from him/her only. Any injury during any activity, we will not be responsible for any mis-happenings
